Alpha
Do you wrestle with the big questions of life? Would you like a relaxed, friendly environment in which to explore them with others?
Alpha is a course which attracts people of different ages and backgrounds who share an interest in discovering more about Christianity.
It normally runs over 10 weeks, beginning with a look at Jesus – who he was and why he died – and then branching out into other aspects of faith such as reading the Bible and prayer.
Each week includes a talk on a relevant subject, discussion groups for guests to ask any questions that they want, and refreshments.
We are not running an Alpha course at this present time, but we are running Alpha Two, a follow-on course ideal for you ...
if you've previously done the first part of Alpha (usually six sessions)
If you're interested in the topics we will be covering
if you'd like to refresh your awareness of these basics in an atmosphere where you're free to just listen or to ask questions.
The topics covered are
How does God guide us? (1st Sept 2020)
Who is the Holy Spirit? (8th Sept 2020)
What does the Holy Spirit do? (15th Sept 2020)
How can I resist evil? (22nd Sept 2020)
Why and how should I tell others? (29th Sept 2020)
Does God heal today? (6th October 2020)
What about the church? (13th October 2020)
Each session starts at 8.00pm on Zoom and finishes by 9.15pm.
If you were part of the CBC Alpha course in 2020 you don't need to re-register. We will send you the information you need.
