Living in the Light of God’s Presence
I wonder what you think of when you hear Ezekiel? The Old Testament prophet, who has a book named after him, is paid less attention to than many other books of the Bible. Perhaps this is because of his bizarre visions or prophecies of judgement or the length of this 52-chapter book.
Ezekiel brought God’s word to his people at the lowest point in their history, as they suffered the trauma of exile. But, with exile, they had the opportunity to renew their faith and hope in God himself. Although God had judged his people, he would also restore them and dwell with them for ever – promises that find their ultimate fulfilment in Christ.
