Chichester HEART for Homeless Collection during October
Chichester HEART for Homeless is supported by CBC and a number of our church family volunteer for this ministry. HEART provides a safe place where members of the homeless community can come, know that they can get a hot meal, and chat to someone with no pressure or risk of being judged. They want their guests to know that they are in a place where they can be loved, have their basic needs met and find a reprieve from their circumstances, even if only for a short time each day. Between January and August 2024, 5645 hot breakfasts have been served, an average of 23 per day. As a charity, they rely on the hard work of volunteers and kind gifts. They are planning a special collection during October, and they have identified a number of items that they are currently short of:
A box will be in the foyer for you to Baked beans (ring pull ones if possible), tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar, toilet rolls, men’s toiletries, toothbrushes and toothpaste, snack bars, chocolates and crisps.
