Open the Book Team - An Opportunity to Join In

This year is the 25th Anniversary of Open the Book, and we at CBC have been involved for two years now. This is a project sponsored by the Bible Society which provides a format for doing Assemblies in Primary schools. The OTB team from CBC currently goes into 6 schools in the Chichester area and are so grateful for the opportunity to share Bible stories with the next generation, many of whom otherwise wouldn't hear them. We’ve had such positive feedback!

Have you got an hour a week to spare?

The time commitment looks like this:

If a team member does 2 stories a term it means,

1 rehearsal of  2 hours (with coffee and cake!), 8 delivery mornings =16 hours a term (Monday and Wednesday 9-11am)

3 terms =54 hours a year.   Just over an hour a week in a year!

What qualifications do I need?

None! No previous acting experience required. Training given!
