Do you know someone who struggles to read?

Read Easy is the largest charity teaching adults to read - there are about 80 groups around the UK, all run by volunteers. We are the group started in 2022 focusing on Chichester, Bognor & Littlehampton.

If you have any opportunity to publicise our existence we are always trying to reach out to those who could benefit from our service. The problem is much bigger than many realise with recent studies suggesting one in six UK adults have significant difficulty reading - leading to so many other problems. Many are inevitably reluctant to come forward.

 Read Easy offers:

- Completely free, one-on-one coaching.

-'Readers' meet their coach for two 30-minute sessions each week

-  In a safe, semi-public space, such as the library, community hub/cafes.

- Using the 'Turning Pages' reading system (pioneered by the Shannon Trust

   who teach in prisons).

- For as long as it takes - months or more.

- Ages 18 and up - some have learned in their 80's.
