Blessed are the pure in heart

In this sixth beatitude we look at what the biblical understanding was of our hearts and what Jesus means when he encourages his followers to be 'pure in heart'. Looking at Luke 11:37-41 we see that for Jesus the inside matters. Jesus doesn't want performance but purity, and for our hearts to respond to the invitation of grace he offers.
