Jesus anointed by a sinful woman

In Luke 7:36-50, we read about how Jesus is anointed by a sinful woman while eating at Simon the Pharisee's house. There are lessons for us to learn about how Simon interacts with Jesus, how and why Jesus interacts with the woman, and what this means for us. Jesus longs to encounter all of us - whether we are stubborn, like Simon, feel like an outsider or a no-one, like the woman, and regardless of what we have done wrong or not done.
