Nicodemus

John 3:1-21 records the visit of Nicodemus to Jesus at night. In the unfolding conversation it becomes apparent that, although he is Israel’s teacher, Nicodemus is also in the dark in his spiritual understanding. By contrast, Jesus is the light of the world, and he brings his light to bear on our motives, thoughts and actions.
