Tell Her Story: The Woman at the Well

The woman at the well has sometimes had a bad press: a serial adulterer coming to draw water at an unusual hour because she is a social outcast, sneaking off at midday, because no-one wants to be with her and she is too ashamed to be there with anyone else. But is this a fair representation? And why did John include this particular story in his gospel, when the other Gospel writers didn't?
