Humanitarian emergencies

The combination of conflict, climate change and Covid-19 is having an accelerated impact on some of the most serious global humanitarian emergencies. These are some of the global crises that the International Rescue Committee (IRC) consider to be the most serious in 2021. Pray for these countries and any others on your heart. ​

• Yemen: Unrelenting conflict and risk of famine ​

• Burkina Faso: The world's fastest-growing displacement crisis following conflict, 1 million people now internally displaced. ​

• South Sudan: Recovery from civil war at risk, economic crisis & recurrent flooding​

• Democratic Republic of Congo: Unprecedented hunger crisis & persistent volatility​

• Syria: Violence and displacement for a decade ​

• Afghanistan: Stalled peace process under threat, poverty & food insecurity​
