40 Days of Prayer - Day 39

Today we pray for …

World Leaders

Today we remember that the leaders of the day, both religious and political leaders, condemned the greatest leader and king Jesus to his death. We give thanks for the death of Jesus and we pray for today’s world leaders.

  • We pray for wisdom and a desire to work for peace and justice among world leaders.

  • We ask Jesus that you would reveal yourself as king and Lord to heads of state and governments.

  • We pray for leaders who are persecuting believers, leading by force and without democracy – Lord may the voice of the oppressed and forgotten be heard.

  • We pray for leaders of countries/ regions currently in conflict: Yemen, Myanmar, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Hong Kong/ China, Ethiopia, Venezuela, DR Congo and Columbia.

  • Please name in the comments leaders/ countries you want to particularly pray for.
