Alternative Sunday
On Sunday 12th November we are not meeting in the building here at CBC due to the refurbishment of our worship area, and so there is the opportunity to try out one of our Alternative Gatherings that are meeting that day.
To help those organising the different events, we are asking everyone who is planning to go to one of the Gatherings to book ahead of time. Don’t just turn up without having booked in! There are no limits to how many people can book on to the Alternative Gatherings (with the exception of Common Threads) and bookings will close on Friday 10th November except for Early Birdies where bookings will close on Thursday 9th November.
Here are the different options:
Walk & Talk is an opportunity to go on a local walk and enjoy company and conversation. There are refreshments and a brief message halfway around along with coffee and cake – on this occasion, we are meeting in the Church Car Park at 10am.
NOTE: If you are planning to join the walk and have children, please book on the families walk below instead!
A Walk & Talk suitable for all ages (including activities for children) is open to all. Meet at 10am at CBC car park where the walk will start. To book, please click here.
An energetic, mountain bike ride taking in local terrain. Enjoy God’s creation together and meet some other keen cyclists. There will be a stop for a Thought for the Day and then a chance to refuel at the end at a local café.
An opportunity to join one of our teams who visit our local care homes in Chichester to take a service. To book, please click here.
Get up with the lark and come and play nine holes of golf bright and early in the morning. Golf, chat, banter and the chance to discuss the bigger issues of life and faith. To play in Early Birdies you will need to feel confident that you can play on a full-length course and not shoot, on average, more than a double bogey on each hole. If you don’t know what that means, Early Birdies probably isn’t right for you…yet.
A (reduced) green fee is charged to play if you are not a full 7-day Chichester Golf Club member (£19). Meeting at the Chichester Golf Club clubhouse (rear car park) at 7.15am ready to tee off at 7.30am. We are asking anyone coming along on who doesn't usually attend to book by clicking on the button below and then pay on the morning.
A great opportunity to experience Common Threads on this occasion and join those who regularly attend this Alternative Gathering for creative knitting, crochet & needlework. Bring your own project or if you would like to learn a new skill, we will have people available to help you learn.
The group meets at the Community Hall, Donegall Avenue, Roussillon Park, Road, Chichester PO19 6DF from 10.00 - 11.30. As well as some creative time, there is plenty of opportunity for chat, coffee/tea, biscuits and the chance to hear a brief personal Christian story.
On this occasion we are asking anyone coming along on this special Alternative Gathering Sunday who doesn't usually attend to book as numbers are limited!
