Online Service 22/11/20
Introduction
Hi everyone! A warm welcome to the CBC online service.
It feels good!
This song has been such a hit in our recent fab ‘Family at 4’ times (when we were able to be in the building.) So to wake us up this morning we wanted the whole church to get grooving with it! Though we can’t meet physically we can be together in spirit and celebrate the big family of God. Enjoy!
Let’s pray together
Let’s take time to pray together today
He is risen!
As we are today at the heart of our short series looking at the Resurrection, it seems so appropriate to return to the day earlier in the year when with an Easter sunrise and songs of hope we celebrated the moment that 2000 years ago changed everything. The heavens are roaring the praise of Your glory, for you are raised to life again!
Reading
Our reading for today is 1 Corinthians 15:12-19. Find the text here and press play below to hear it read by Naomi a member of our CBC church family.

Questions for you
1. “A quarter of people who describe themselves as Christians in Great Britain do not believe in the resurrection of Jesus” a survey commissioned by the BBC in 2017 suggested. Does it matter?
2. “If Christ has not been raised … we are then found to be false witnesses” (verses 14-15). What would you say to someone who claimed that Christianity was an elaborate hoax?
Come awake!
We close today with this wonderful song that encourages us to celebrate and reflect on the power and significance of the resurrection for us all. The Spirit of God who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you! (Romans 8:11)
