Online Service 26/04/20

Introduction

Hi everyone! A warm welcome to the CBC online service.

Let’s worship together

Our great God is worthy of praise. Let’s join our voices, wherever we might be, to celebrate his greatness. Some members of the Wakeford family lead us in our first song.

He is good!

Jesus taught us to pray, “Our Father in heaven …” The One we worship is not only a great King, he is also a good Father. Tom and Emily lead us in our next song.

Reading

Our reading for today is from Acts 11:19-26, read by members of one of CBC’s small groups.

Questions for you

1. Ellen said some of us are finding it harder to pray in this season because despite having more time we are unsettled by internal disruption. Are you finding that to be true?

2. ‘Barnabas saw what the grace of God had done and was glad’ (Acts 11:23). What visible touches of God’s grace have you seen and are you seeing?

3. What helps you remain thankful and find joy in this difficult season? Are there practical or tangible things you can do to help you to be proactively thankful?

The goodness of God

All my life You have been faithful,
All my life You have been so, so good,
With every breath that I am able
I will sing of the goodness of God.
