Cedar Ministry

Cedar Ministry brings church to elderly residents seeking to share God’s love with and serve all people in local care homes. Inspired by Psalm 92:12-14; we want to see people find faith in God, grow strong, flourish and bear fruit right into old age.

The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green.

We meet at 10am at CBC, arriving at the homes at 10.30am with a service held between 11am and 11.30am, leaving the home before 12 noon.

Our aim is to build relationships, spending time with residents, before holding a more traditional 30 minute service, involving familiar hymns, prayers, Bible readings and a short talk.
