The Retired Men’s Group have booked Professor David Bacon to speak at CBC on the subject of Science and Faith on Monday 14 November 7:00pm. Details below.

 The RMG think the topic is so interesting and important that it has been decided to open it to all, both men and women of all ages, including teenagers. This may be something that you would like to invite a friend or friends to, whether they are committed Christians or not. Details are:

 "What do you think science and faith can usefully say to each other?"

We live in a world where both science and faith are extremely influential. But many people feel as though there's a disconnect, or possibly even a war, between the two. In this talk followed by discussion, David will explore the ways in which science and faith can usefully critique, sharpen and support each other. David is a professor at the Institute of Cosmology and Gravitation, University of Portsmouth, and is a churchwarden at St Jude's Church Southsea.
